Yay – the Splashing Fun is almost here! Following are a few tips & details for tomorrow, Sunday 6/5. Please read carefully, if you are joining us!!
Sign-In & Registration will be set up in the Picnic Area behind the Pool Field and will be open from 10.00 am to 10.45 am. Even if you already registered & paid, you will be required to sign-in and sign your release of liability at that time. At 10.45 unclaimed spaces will be released to those interested. Event Day Registration Fee is $15. The FunJump! starts at 11.00 am.
Each Jumper will be able to warm up (two jumps max) before their first Splash (two jumps). After the first rotation, everyone has the opportunity for a second Splash (two jumps). Order of dogs jumping is as registered and will be posted by the Pool. Should you have two dogs registered, you will have three jumpers between your own pooches, to give you time to release one and get the other one ready.
All dogs that are not on the dock, must be on a leash at all times. Before approaching another dog, please remember that not all pups are good with strange people or dogs and that the excitement may have them more hyped than they typically would be.
For liability purposes, we ask that you stay clear of dogs in our Daycare Fields and out of all areas that are marked as “Employees Only”. Please also ensure that you close all gates and shut all doors behind you to keep all dogs on our property, should someone get loose…
What to Bring?
You may, of course, bring your own crates to keep your pooches resting during downtimes. We would actually strongly recommend that you do, because dogs can get quite crazy around the water fun and hard to “keep calm” poolside! We have a fenced & shaded picnic area behind the pool field, where our Registration & Vending Table is set up, it has room for your crates and chairs. The extra field behind the Picnic Area (also fully fenced) will be also be available for your crates and to walk your dogs.
Please bring your own chairs, as available seating is limited. And remember to put on sunblock – Dock & Pool have full sun for most of the day!
We have a variety of retrieving toys, towels, snacks & beverages available for sale. Lunch will not be provided this time around, since it being our first FunJump! at Karma, it is really hard for us to predict the final turnout… We will grow from here on out! 😉
Parking will be the least fun experience of the day, as slots are unfortunately very limited. You may legally park along Old Sunbeam Road, for as long as a car can still pass. Please park mindfully to try and accommodate as many of your fellow Dog Enthusiasts as possible! You are welcome to use the “Peeple’s Appliances” parking spaces, however please DO NOT use any spaces belonging to our direct neighbor “Chrome It Cycles” on San Jose, including their employee parking next to the building.
We have set up a Group Order via CustomInk for our Event Shirts. You will be able to order the limited edition shirt online (https://www.customink.com/g/vap0-00ak-mhu4) until Tuesday morning (6/7). Most sizes are roughly $18 (no mark-up, we just picked a quality dri-fit shirt, you can enjoy for years).
Each visitor (jumping & spectator) is eligible for a Sweepstake Ticket (free of charge, no purchase necessary). We will draw the winners at the end of the day and announce the winning ticket numbers online the following day. We have great prizes around dogs & water, so be sure to get your Ticket at the Registration & Vending table and check the event page on facebook or our website.
NOTE: Should a prize not be claimed in some way by Saturday (6/11), we will draw another winner, so even if your number is not on the list initially, make sure you hold on to your Sweepstake Ticket until 6/11!
Ready, Set, Go!
We hope this covers the most important bases of questions you might have. Should you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to post them (other may benefit from the answers as well)! We will try to keep monitoring the posts continually and answer all questions as soon as we can…
We look forward to having you – best of luck to all the pooches, and most of all tons of fun! 🙂
